The bed was permeated with Kemi’s warmth. She slept early because of the tiredness she felt after working at the Kalus and the weakness she felt being in the same room with Ikenna junior. He was beautiful.
After helping her mother to cook, clean and iron her clothes, she jumped into the bed without taking her night bath which was a serious ritual. Kemi is a neat freak. Her back hit the hard floor as she sank into the bed, but she slept off with thoughts Of Ikenna lingering on her mind. She wondered what his lips would taste like if she ever tasted them. She wondered what running her hands through those six packs would do to her and to him, and even though she tried hard not to think of this, she wondered what the bulge in his trousers actually looked in the nude. Was it as big as he looked or were her emotions doing the enlarging? All these dirty thoughts walked slowly through her mind as she closed her eyes, covered herself with the blanket, and allowed nature to take its course.
“Mum…where is Dad?” Ikenna junior asked curiously as he sat beside his mother in the massive living room. Nonye waited a while before the question registered in her memory. He’s probably philandering with those young idiotic girls that can never keep their legs closed and their paws from married men. I mean, her husband wore his ring everywhere he went, except he took it off as soon as he got into the car and put it hurriedly back on as he was about to enter the house and lied to her that he worked late.
Nonye could have sworn her husband wasn’t cheating on her. She knew her friends were jealous of how wealthy her husband was, and she decided to distance herself far from them. When Ada told her she saw Ikenna with another woman, she thought it was a plot to ruin her marriage, until she saw him with her own eyes. The girl was tall and lanky, flat chested but with a voluptuous backside. She immediately knew that was why her husband was attracted to her. Nonye was endowed in that area but not as much as the whore. Nevertheless, the girl was not as beautiful as Nonye, she seemed to be suffering from aids or tuberculosis. Nonye was thankful that she and her husband hadn’t fucked in a while. She even had herself tested, just in case.
That day, Nonye left the restaurant with tears almost bursting out, she was almost losing it. She wanted to stab her husband and then break the anorexic thing to pieces but she held her self. Nonye thought of Ikenna Junior, her son and her rock, her husband used to be her solid rock until her started to see other people, until he began to touch her less, until he began to come home really late.
